GGLC Track Day - April 25, 2005 - Buttonwillow Raceway

The weather was perfect, clear, sunny, warm, but not hot and a nice breeze.

Over 60 drivers arrived at the Buttonwill Raceway for the GGLC Track Day and over half the drivers were there with their Lotus! Nearly 30 were in an Elise!!! It was the makings of a fantastic track day!

The paddock was colorful and Lotus-full!!! It was a wonderful sight and great start to the GGLC 2005 Track Days.

As is the case at all GGLC Track Days the drivers meeting was held and newbie drivers were paired with experienced drivers to help them in their first sessions.

As with GGLC Track Days past the drivers were broken into 2, "Fast" and "Not-So-Fast". Passing was restricted to straights and point-by. A few spins, but broken cars, and a couple mechanical breaks. The Elise drivers were getting a real taste of the capabilities of the car.

One highlight was getting the entire group of Lotus cars and drivers together for a group photo!
