One
of the coolest tools anyone can have in their collection is a Pressure
Bleeder for one man(or woman) bleeding of hydraulic systems. They tend
to be expensive and most could not justify the cost for how seldom we might
use it. Well…
YOU
MAY HAVE IT AND NOT KNOW IT!
To
construct our pressure bleeder you will need:
An
air compressor
An
air chuck with a rubber tip
A vacuum
hose
A bottle
of champagne
Brake
fluid
First
empty the contents of the champagne bottle. (I've tried them all, champagne
bottles work the best) Pour about 2 inches of brake fluid into the bottle.
Slip one end of the vacuum hose over the brake bleed nipple and loosen
the nipple. Slip the other end of the hose down the neck of the bottle,
so that the end of the hose is submerged in fluid.
Top
up the reservoir of the master cylinder with brake fluid. |
