British Car Autocross

Triumph Travelers Sports Car Club and the Golden Gate Lotus Club are pleased to be co-hosting The British Car Autocross, Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. A fun day of driving for enthusiasts and owners of British Cars - MG, Triumph, Morgan, McLaren, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lotus, Mini and more!

This event is ONLY for British cars. Non-British cars will be wait listed and will be allowed to enter if there is space.

Event is open to all cars of British origin (some exceptions allowed, contact Andy or Colm for clarification, see below)
Event is limited to 75 drivers. This will assure that drivers will get lots of runs and the best autocross experience possible.
Gates open 8:00 AM for registration and tech
Driver’s meeting 8:40
First car out as close to 9:00 as possible
“Chevron” style grid
This a FULL day event! 3 Run Groups. Every run group will run in both the morning and afternoon.
Expect 3-5 runs per entry for both morning and afternoon sessions.
All drivers are required to work on a rotational basis.
Self Tech Inspection - no fluid leaks, good brakes, steering.
Lot is very large. We expect an extended layout with longer time on course.
This is fun practice event. No points, no trophies, but lots of bragging rights!
Beginners welcome, a limited number of loaner helmets available, many experienced drivers to assist with any or all aspects of the event. GGLC members, this is a non-points practice event.
Cost is $45 ($40 for TTSCC or GGLC members) per driver. You must pre-register on-line, walk-up entrants will NOT be accepted.
Spectators are $5. No weekend memberships required. Lunch is available on-site.
Mufflers required (92db @ 50 feet enforced)

BRITISH CAR AUTOCROSS FORMAT
The British Car Autocross will have a limited number of drivers to allow drivers to get a large number
of runs. Drivers are broken into groups and the groups rotate between running and working. All drivers are
required to work.
GGLC Typical Run/Work Group Order:
"A" runs, "B" works
"B" runs, "C" works
"C" runs, "A" works
WHAT IS NEEDED & RULES:
Bring water, there's no water on-site.
Sun-screen is a must if you're prone to burning. It gets windy, so bring a warm jacket.
Motorsports are dangerous and may result in damage or injury, a waiver will need to be signed to gain entry to the site.
Helmets are required, Z90, DOT or better. A few loaner helmets will be available.
All occupants (driver and passenger) must have a helmet and seat belt on while on course.
Video and digital cameras must be securely mounted, hand held cameras are not allowed in the car while on course.
Course workers should not use their phones for calls or texting while working!
Age limit is 18 to drive, 16 to ride, drivers must have valid driver's license.
Speed limit within the Autocross site is a maximum of 15 MPH

If you sign up for event you are required to honor your work assignment for entire day. If you have some kind
of emergency situation please exercise common courtesy and work it out with event chair so that your position can be covered.
