The pylons were scattered and the timers set for the WCLM Autocross on Saturday, June 4th at the Lake Tahoe Airport
About 25 drivers took to the course. Each had four timed runs in the mornining sessions and the after a break for lunch fun runs took place until closure. The Elise drivers dominated the competition for Top Time of the Day with the title going to Robert P. winning TTOD and the Elise class by the tiniest of margins. Only 7 thousandths of a second back of Robert was Randy C in Second place. Randy and Robert were swapping cars and oddly both set their winning times in each other's car!
Shinya S. entertained the crowd with some beautifully executed drifts in his '91 Esprit. Shinya capped the 4 cylinder Esprit class with his 38.088 second time. The might of the V8 engine in the Esprit was shown by Alan Z. with some superb driving. Alan ripped off a stunning 36.861 in his green Esprit V8.
David A. topped the "Baby" Elan drivers with a quick 36.162 and the M100 Elan class was capped by Scott W. who slipped by with his 38.076 over Kevin M. and Mark A. As said the Elise drivers were out in force with 11 cars. Robert and Randy topped the Elise charts, but behind them were Cade W. with a 34.511 and Alexander K's 34.621. 2005 WCLM Autocross Results
